The Founder

Manisha Ghule

Manisha Ghule, founder of Navchetana Sarvangin Vikas Kendra, is a grassroots leader and survivor of child marriage and domestic violence from the marginalized NT/DNT Vanjari community in Beed, Maharashtra. Drawing strength from her lived experiences, she transformed her pain into purpose by establishing Navchetana in 2008 with six other women. Committed to empowering vulnerable women and communities, Manisha leads efforts to challenge injustice, promote women’s leadership, and build inclusive, self-reliant rural communities. Her work centers on dignity, rights, and development led by and for the marginalized.
